The heel isn't high enough to feel like you're walking in heels, does that make sense lol they have enough to make you strut a little, but not enough to make it uncomfortable. Also, my daughter's pair arrived with 3 of the four sides damaged. The clasps that hold down the pull-on tabs toward the top are broken. I would actually have preferred them to be looser, so I could fit leg warmers and such in them. All in all though, great fit! You could also wear knee high socks or leg warmers to make you calf a little thicker & fuller that's what I do as well.
