kandi a: If your calves are smaller than average, yes it will be too big. If though there are laces you will have to tie the too tight.
Chebony P: They have laces so if anything you could always adjust the fit around your calves. I don't think you should have a problem

S O: No they'll be ok because they run a little big, I even wanted a half size smaller size but they didn't have it so I just wear double socks
Keira V: These boots are true to size. So, a 5.5 will more than likely be to small if you wear a 6.

heather n: I typically buy boots in a 8 - 8 1/2 depending on how they are made. I purchased these boots in a 8 1/2 and they fit perfectly so I would say they are pretty much true to size. If you typically buy a 6, I'd wait until the 6's are available.

stephanie s: I'm normally between 7 and 7.5, I bought the 7.5 and they are pretty roomy. But I would hate to steer you wrong and say they'll be ok. It's hard to say. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Velma H: I wear an 8 & purchased an 8 which fit perfectly. An 8/12 would have been too roomy a fit. In my opinion this fits very true to size.
heather n: I am typically an 8 - 8 1/2 sometimes a 9 depending on the shoe/boot. I ordered an 8 1/2 and it fit perfectly. I think a 10 may be ill fitting for you as I would think if I ordered a 9 it would have been too big.

Alicia P: I am a 10 and ordered a ten..they are not snug at all. You should get size 10 because they are thin boots and you will need thick socks to keep your feet warm.
