None N asked: I want to replace my current brown boots , they were great at first, but after nearly a year they slouch too look like pirate boots. Not the look I'm going for! Do these stay up or do you end up tugging and pulling them back to your knee every few steps?

I have had these boots for about five months and I wear them fairly often 2-3 times/week. They have retained their shaped nicely, but I am also a runner and I take ballet, so my calves are muscular and hold up the boots perfectly. If you have very skinny legs, you *might* have an issue with slouching. That being said, the material is soft and smooth, the boots look beautiful and are very high-quality and comfortable. My only complaint is that the zipper goes along the back and catches on my tights when I cross my legs. They have ruined a couple of my favorite pairs! I simply have had to be more careful when wearing these and not cross my legs as much, which is probably better for me anyway :-

Paula L: they are both black. The zipper has to be broke in but once you move it several times it's easy. the most comfortable boots I have had in a long time.

Hayley L: I'm athletic with pretty muscular calves and these fit well. I can't wear thick socks with them, though. Other than that, I love these boots! They are super-comfortable and excellent quality.

Katherine B: The boot is definitely true to size. I wouldn't suggest thick socks because it might get caught in the zipper but it is warm so it won't be necessary to wear thicker socks.
