Kendra M: yes I would say that the heel is really 3 inches, and they are really comfortable. I wear them all the time Its a great buy! I just got out my cloth tape measure not a rigid inacurate one, but one that follows every curve of the heel. They are a good fit around the calves though so they stay up well. angelica z: these boots are fantastic, they are very comfortable, i like that they look elegant not trashy in big part because the heel is small and they are pointy but not too much. i got them in a 7 and they fit fine also i can use thick socks but not too thick for that maybe go up half a size, i don't have thick legs, so if you do maybe the boots wont't look as good because even though they can be adjusted in the back with a small buckle they are not strechy and don't have room for thick ankels. But for thin to normal legs they are great and true to size.
