I sprayed then with a water proofing spray called "RedHead"which is color safe and excellent for any material. This boot is VERY comfortable, I wear a size 7 but ordered a size 7.5 so I could be comfy with slightly thicker socks in the winter, it worked out perfect. The boot is a medium width and works great with a slightly wide foot.
