Jenifer D: There really isn't much of a cushion, but for the price this is a really well constructed flat. I just ordered a pair for my wedding and they are gorgeous in person! Bursting with pearls and shiny ivory beading. So cute! I'm sure you'd be very pleased with them. I may just go ahead and add my own gel insoles for $3 so I can dance the night away. =
