Plus, if you decide to wear thick socks with your boots you'll have enough room to do so in a size 8. They're great boots! I wear between an 8 & 8.5, ordered the 8.5 and they fit great but I don't have a lot of wiggle room. I think an 8 would work just fine for you, and if there's more room than you like which I doubt will be the case, you can always just wear thicker socks!
