I do have some room but it doesn't effect my walking in them. Also if it is to big slip on a pair of socks. Go with ur gut. All shoes are made different on this site. So keep that in mine. I ordered an 8 in one shoe and had to send it back for an 8.5. Kelly S: It has a low platform in the front which does not seen to really help with balance as expected with a platform but it is about 5 1/2 inches! These booties are for a pros but super cute. Diane O: the design gives the illusion of a 1/2 in platform but it is about 1.5-2 in platform. It feels more like velvet. I get tons of compliments!!! However, they're not my favorite to walk in.
