They are not heavy at all and easy to walk in. They are true to size, in actual shoe size. However, if you have a wide foot like me, you may want to get a size bigger. I ordered a size 10, which is my shoe size, but because I have wide feet, the straps were too tight. I exchanged them for an 11, and am highly satisfied. Majority of the pressure falls on the ball of your foot making it difficult to balance and walk.
