Alicia J: Both really, you could pull them up and make them a high waist the only problem you might find is that your bum would show a bit. I have a smaller bum so I didn't have that problem. But word of warning the LARGE is sized for some one a size 9 maybe 10. But they are super comfy. Octavia L: They are true to size if u wear a medium get just that.. They have a lil bit of a stretch to them, mine were perfect and they didn't stretch out they fit perfectly.
