Rickeena W: I wear a 5 in regular jeans as well but in all of my high waist jeans i have a size 1. i think it depends on your body type because my natural waist is 23 inches which is a size 1 and i noticed that you should choose the sizes based on your natural waist line. so measure your natural waist line and that will determine if you will need a 1 or 3 or 5. The pants also stretch very well. also im 5'2 and 118 lbs if that can help you out. If you have hips and butt you may need a 3 but if you dont have hips you should be good with a one depending on your waist size i hope this helps!
