As stated on our size chart, waist measurements are measured around the natural waistline keeping the measuring tape comfortably loose. Please keep in mind that on the product description, the waist measurement only measures one side. So, the waist circumference of a size small is 29 inches. Jeanine S: Yes, the jeans are low rise. All of their bottoms are low rise unless it mentions high-waist. They are nice and stretchy which is good if you have a bit of curve. Either way they are body hugging!!! They look great around the waist and butt area. Martha P: I am smaller as well... typically wear a 0 or 2. However, let it be said that I did not want these pants to be skin tight. I actually ended up buying a 5, which sounds absurd. I was concerned that they would not fit. However, the rear and legs fit pretty nicely, it was just really big in the waist. That problem was easily fixed with a belt. I would say order a size or two up from normal if you don't want them super skin tight. Hope this helps Yaimara M: I think it will fit like a size 23.
