There is no strecth in the material, very tight fit. If you are 14/16 you are probally going up a size...guess what they can always be taken in a bit and then they will fit perfect. The jeans are inexspensive and the zippers are cheap so you want them to be the right fit so you don break the cheap zipper. and Even if they fit the zippers are PRETTY cheap...good luck.
