Charles C: I am not sure if these boots would have been waterproof from the company, however I bought a can of waterproofing and applied right after presenting them to my wife for Christmas. A N: If you have a large calf it could be a tight squeeze to get into the shoe itself, but the foot part is true to size for me since I wear a size 6, but if you would like a little extra room I suggest half a size larger.
