I think it is perfect because I am wearing them in the winter and wear them with thick socks. I absolutely love these boots. I was going to get the Hunters but they were a bit expensive for me, so these were a perfect alternative! This is for sure a rubber boot. The picture is true to what you will get. They're pretty cute as far a rubber boots go. The only down side is there's not much to them just the rubber. I put an insole inside the boot which makes them feel a little better. My friend and I also bought the Hunter Boot socks to go in them which then keep your feet toasty warm. I'm 5'7 and they come up to just below my knee so they'd be taller on you. I usually take a size 7.5 so I got an 8 to have room for the socks. But I find they're a bit big so I would've been better off getting a 7.
