P A: its pretty much true to size. if you are 5'1 i would get the small. the dress falls just below the knee, so there should not be a problem with it sweeping the floor. R A: Im 5'7 and the dress hit me about at mid calf, little shorter than most maxi dresses, so the length should be ok for you. I ordered a medium and it fit fine, so defintately go with the small. I have noticed most of Go Janes clothes can run a bit on the smaller side but this one was pretty true to size. The dress is super comfortable and light.
