A N: I'm not totally sure, but I'm a size 6 although depending on the brand I wear 4-8 and I have the medium. Alexis J: I dont know if you can do that. However the dress is very stretchy so I dont know that you would need to alter it. It pretty much stretches to match your curves. Jenna E: The way the dress is designed it is good across even wider hips. I hope you're tall though, because one step on the tulle and it will rip. I had so many safety pins in it by the end of prom, mostly from other people stepping on it. It is not the best dress for average to short girls. I'm 5 3 and it hit the ground exactly, with heels. Susan K: My daughter fits this size 8 dress perfectly! I am not a skilled seamstress although I do not think the hips can be altered without notice. It is very heavy on the bottom tiers so we are having straps put on the dress. E A: No. The dress comes in the sizes offered. You'll have to take the dress to a seamstress to be fitted if you need a different hip size. The ruffles are beautiful up close, too! Trust me : Jenna E: For my prom night, the tulle did not remain intact. It has dozens of safety pins holding it up. Pam T: Yes the bow comes off. And I think that your idea is great! I bought this dress for my daughter she loves it and recieved so many compliments when wearing it. M R: Yes it comes off and there are small belt loops that could be removed also if desired. A N: The bow can come off! There are sewn on black loops thin ones for the belt to stay secure, but they can certainly be cut off. Also, you might want to be aware that the dress is on the big side, so you might have to have your tailor take it in. I am planning on doing, this dress is really fun! N A: It does come off, however there are belt loops that may need to be removed. Christy H: Dear Jaye T, Yes, the bow does come off. The bow is removable and has loops that it goes through to hold it into place. I bought the red dress for prom last year and I absolutely loved it. All my friends loved it to. N A: Hi Erica.I use size M.And the dress was the right size in M.There is a bit stretch in it so it fits me perfect.And it is a wonderful dress.Very good to use. Pam T: Erica, I purchased this dress for my daughter for prom also. The dress seems to run small. We bought a large thinking she would need to have it altered because she is really a medium, anyway the large fits almost perfectly without alterations. I hope this helps. Pam D S: From the waist down, the measurements were correct, however the bust size was ENORMOUS! My daughter had to take in about 6 inches in the top and she wears a 44D!! Her normal dress size is 16 - 18 depending on the cut. Once she took in the bust, the rest of the gown was a PERFECT fit and she received many many compliments! The dress has a shimmer to it and the overall fabric is of good quality. I hope this helps ... have a wonderful prom!
