We then ordered the size that best fit. We ordered online due to the color was not offered at any of the local stores. Michelle K: The dress is 'gives' alot due to the corset and it comes with a piece that can snap in the back if the lacing needs to be loosened. True to size or could possibly go down a size. Chelsea P: it doesnt have to be as tight as what you might see in the picture but be very careful of the size you buy because the dress might feel tight but i had to do it up pretty much all the way JACQUELINE B: yes it can be let out i recommend a good strapless bra macy c: I know you can loosen the criss cross tie in the back, but am not certain how much can be let out from the sides. It has a removable piece that can open the corset ties to bare the back or don't remove to keep the back covered. Very nice dress my daughter loved it. Kelly G: You can loose the corset but there is a piece of fabric that can come out behind the corset, so if you loosen it you might not be able to have the piece of fabric behind the corset and you will see your back. There is a back piece that you can take out though. But the tie up part is still there. Rita M: If you wear it without the insert behind the laces, you could loosen the laces; however, then your back would also show behind the laces.
